Welcome to the NEW MMA Shoot

Written by Lex on Sunday, August 17th, 2008 in The Shoot.

As you can see, I’ve re-designed the blog to keep it in line with the rest of the PWB Network.

I’m also changing the focus of this blog to weigh more heavily on MMA opinion and interviews, so expect a lot of exclusive stuff on here that will be released before some of the podcast interviews come out. There are so many blogs out there providing MMA “news,” I thought I’d make the focus of this one more unique.

In addition, there will be a new “MMA Shoot” podcast preimeiring in the coming weeks. It will be availble on the current podcast site, as I’m going to be making some more changes to the way I do the podcasts from here on out.

There’s so much going on in the world of MMA it’s hard to fit it all into one blog. That’s why I’m starting a new feature here on MMA Shoot: every few days I’ll post a summary of the latest and greatest news from the MMA world. Of course, I’m calling the new feature “The Shoot.” Without further adieu, let’s get to the first edition.

MMARated.com is reporting that Rich Franklin will move up to 205 to face Matt Hamill at UFC 88. This adds to an already packed card, including Chuck Liddell v. Rashad Evans, Dan Henderson v. Rousimar Palhares, Karo Parisyan v. Yoshiyuki Yoshida, and James Lee v. Tim Boetsch.

MMA Junkie has also confirmed the bout.
