Mauricio “Shogun” Rua Injured; Liddell v. Rua Off UFC 85
UFC.com is reporting that Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has injured his knee, and will be unable to fight Chuck Lidell at UFC 85 in London, England. Rua has suffered a ruptured ACL in his left knee, and will be having surgery in the coming days. It’s the same knee he had surgery on after his fight with Forest Griffin last year at UFC 75.
This is a big blow to the UFC 85 card, but Liddell will still be fighting in London on June 7. The UFC says they are set to announce a new opponent for Chuck as soon as possible.
